Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both lawyers. At the age five she relocated from London to Oxfordshire where she attended the Dragon School. Emma was aspired to be a professional actress since she was at the age of six. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting institute which offers classes for part-time students. From the age of 10 the actress took part in as the lead in several Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel began casting in 1999. Casting agents discovered Emma via her Oxford theatre instructor. After eight consistent auditions producer David Heyman told Emma and other applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been selected for the roles of the three lead characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first appearance on the big screen came in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone which was released in 2001. It broke all records in terms of its opening and weekend ticket sales, and it was the highest-grossing film of 2001. Reviewers were awed by the film and its performance. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British publication, described Emma's performance "amazing". Emma received the Young Artist Award as the leading young actress in the Film. Film.
