Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico was born into a music-loving family. As a child, she was exposed to many traditional music as well as old Boleros. She also listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana enjoys tangos and the dramatic and opera performances. At the age 16, she started singing and studying music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began giving her a more intensive singing instruction. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. She performed in Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young scholar and professional. When she moved into the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present home in the southern part of California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer of traditional Latin American music at private occasions. Alongside being an instructor and performer in the local area, her love of arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of different projects. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able to share with others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes this can encourage younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
